Kadlah guide
How to share a wedding invitation on WhatsApp
A practical WhatsApp wedding invitation guide for Malaysia, with message structure, RSVP context, map links and a polite follow-up plan.
The short answer
Share the published Kadlah invitation link with a short WhatsApp message that names the hosts or couple, states the event date, explains what guests should do next and includes the RSVP deadline. The link contains the full invitation, directions and guest actions, so the WhatsApp message should provide context rather than repeat every detail.
Use a clear WhatsApp message structure
A useful sharing message has four parts: a greeting, the hosts or couple names, the event date or occasion, and one clear instruction to open the invitation and RSVP. Put the public Kadlah link on its own line so it is easy to tap and forward.
Keep the message warm but specific. Guests should know why they received it, what the link contains and whether they need to confirm attendance by a particular date.
- Salam or a suitable greeting
- Couple names and the event occasion
- Date and RSVP deadline
- Published invitation link and one next step
Example message in English
Assalamualaikum. We would be delighted to welcome you to the wedding of [Name] and [Name] on [date] at [venue]. Please open our digital invitation for the full details, directions and RSVP. Kindly respond by [deadline]: [published link]
Adjust the greeting and relationship language for the people receiving it. A short personal note can be added for close family without changing the invitation itself.
Contoh mesej dalam Bahasa Melayu
Assalamualaikum.
Make directions and RSVP easy to find
Tell guests that the invitation includes Google Maps, Waze, contact actions, an itinerary and RSVP when those features are enabled. They can then open the link when they need to plan the journey instead of asking for a separate address message.
Explain the RSVP rule if a response can represent more than one person. Kadlah accepts up to 5 pax per response and each invitation can store up to 500 responses, but guests should only enter people who are actually attending.
Follow up without creating confusion
Send one considerate reminder to guests who have not responded, including the same published link and deadline. Avoid creating multiple versions of the invitation message with different dates or venues; one public link should remain the family reference.
If the invitation details are locked after publishing and a major change occurs, contact affected guests directly and state exactly what changed. Do not quietly send a new event link that could be mistaken for a second invitation.
