Online wedding RSVP in Malaysia: a practical guest-list guide
How online wedding RSVP works on a Malaysian digital invitation, including pax limits, response capacity, guest wording and follow-up.
The short answer
Kadlah online wedding RSVP lets guests confirm attendance from the published invitation link. Each response can include up to 5 pax, and one invitation can store up to 500 responses. Explain whether one response represents one person, a couple or a family, then use the portal responses as the working guest-list record.
What an online RSVP is for
An online RSVP gives each guest a clear action after they read the invitation. Instead of collecting replies across several WhatsApp chats, you can ask for attendance, pax and an optional note in one form connected to the published invitation.
Use the RSVP fields to answer a planning question. Attendance helps you estimate who is coming; pax helps with seating or catering; a note can capture a dietary or accessibility detail when you have a process for following it up.
Explain the 5-pax response rule
Kadlah accepts up to 5 pax in one RSVP response. That does not mean every guest should enter five people. A single guest can submit 1 pax, a couple can submit 2, and a household can submit the number of people that the invitation permits them to bring.
Tell guests what one response represents in your sharing message. Clear wording prevents duplicate submissions and makes the response list easier to reconcile with the family guest list.
- One person: submit 1 pax
- A couple: submit the number attending together
- A family group: submit only the confirmed people in that group
- Do not add unconfirmed guests just to reserve capacity
Plan around the 500-response invitation limit
Each invitation can store up to 500 RSVP submissions and up to 500 confirmed pax. This is a per-invitation limit, not a promise that every event will have unlimited capacity. Monitor the response list as replies arrive and keep a separate family planning process for changes.
If your guest list is approaching the limit, avoid asking the same household to submit repeated updates. Use a clear correction message and keep the latest response as the one the family follows.
Use the response list for follow-up
Review responses regularly, especially after sending a reminder. Contact guests directly when a response is unclear or a travel issue affects attendance. The invitation link remains the shared source for event details, while the portal response list supports your planning.
Publishing locks the invitation details, so confirm the RSVP wording, event facts and map actions before you publish. A correct form is more valuable than a complicated form that guests do not understand.
