Digital wedding invitation PDF: when to use it
Understand Kadlah's Premium digital wedding invitation PDF, how it follows the live design, and when the public link is still the better choice.
The short answer
Kadlah's long-form digital wedding invitation PDF download is a Premium-only feature. It follows the published invitation design and content in a scrollable document, removes the sticky bottom action menu and keeps the invitation sections expanded for sharing. Guests should use the live public link when they need RSVP, maps, calls or WhatsApp actions.
When a PDF is useful
A PDF can help when a family member wants a downloadable copy, when a vendor needs a reference document or when you want to share the invitation in a document-based conversation. It is a companion to the web invitation, not a replacement for the guest actions on the published page.
The export is rendered as a long invitation rather than an A4 redesign. It follows the invitation's visual order so the downloaded document resembles the live preview more closely than a plain text printout.
What the exported document keeps
The PDF keeps the invitation sections, typography, imagery, names, event details, itinerary and supporting copy that are visible in the live invitation. It is intended to preserve the design-led reading experience in a document format.
The sticky bottom menu and editor controls are excluded. It also does not turn interactive actions into a new app; guests should open the RSVP, map, call, WhatsApp and calendar actions from the public invitation link.
Use the public link for interactive guest actions
The live link is the right choice when a guest needs to RSVP, open Google Maps or Waze, save the event to a calendar, call a contact or start a WhatsApp conversation. Include the link in the PDF sharing message so guests can move from reading to action.
Keep one published URL in the family WhatsApp message. This avoids a PDF attachment becoming an outdated copy when guests need the official invitation details or RSVP form.
Check the invitation before exporting
Review the live preview on a phone before downloading. Confirm the names, date, venue, itinerary, contact numbers and public link. If something is wrong, fix it while the invitation is still editable and run the review again before publishing.
After publication, the design and details are locked. Treat the downloaded PDF as the final document copy for the same invitation, not as a separate editable version.
